Hidden Details



Patrick Bateman' s opening dialogue is "I live in the American Gardens building on West 81st street". He tells the audience that he lives at a prestigious address before even telling us his name, showcasing the depths of his narcissism.


When Paul Allen is introduced, he is not played by Jared Leto, which leads me to believe that Patrick Bateman Didn't Actually Kill the real Paul Allen.

When Bateman is with colleagues he brings up a quote about what a woman's head would look like on a stick, crediting the quote to Ed Gein. It was Ed Kemper ( The Co-Ed Killer, California) who said that.

There's a scene between Patrick Bateman and a masseuse that emulates the conversation between Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf, both of whom impersonate others in order to attract their prey.
