Hidden Details


When Anton Ego is surprised he checks the bottle of wine he is drinking before deciding to do a spit take or swallow it.

Linguini has red pubic hair. This is a subtle nod to the fact that his hair is also red.




Collette yells at Linguini that he "can't be mommy" in the kitchen, yet cooking ratatouille like Ego's mother is what won over the critic at the end of the film.

: If you look closely at the Chefs hands and arms you will see small cuts and minor burns that change from scene to scene. When Linguine first starts to cook you will notice that he has more then other chefs.




Remy gets the idea to cook ratatouille "just like mom used to make" because of Colette's lesson where she told Linguini that he wouldn't have time to do that in a restaurant, a move Remy knew would impress the food critic.


Director Brad Bird) in the scooter case scene, after Skinner crashes the scooter, the handle bars do not sit square or aligned correctly anymore.
