Frozen 2 Movie Facts, Easter Eggs and hidden details

The water spirit is a horse, based on the Nokk from Scandinavian mythology (usually represented as a horse). The Nokk isn't the only ethereal being associated with horses. Poseidon was the Greek god of seas, storms, earthquakes, and....horses.

The siren call in Frozen 2 (2019) is based on Kulning, an ancient Scandinavian herding call

During a song, Elsa is conjuring gifts for children that are made out of ice. One child, too embarrassed to say aloud, whispers what he wants in Elsa's ear. With a weird face, the gift she conjures for the child is called a sextant.

When Elsa is walking through the memories of the past, she sees her parents as youth. Her mother asks what her father is reading, he says "Just some new Danish author", implying Hans Christian Andersen. The cover of the book features a silhouette of the Little Mermaid.

the opening scene one can see Baymax from "Big hero 6" as one of the snow figures. Which begs to ask when exactly is Frozen's timeline

As Elsa attempts to cross the sea to Ahtohallan, she encounters the Water Spirit who guards the sea. From the beginning of the scene and throughout their struggle, Elsa attempts to move from right to left across the screen, while the horse tries to force her back to the right.
