As Adrian Veidt is likening himself to Alexander of Macedonia( Alexander the Great) who once ruled most of the known world "Everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears for fears is playing in the background

Adrian Veidt (Ozymandias) creates the illusion that his hand is in his assassin's mouth, preventing him from biting down. You can see his hand around the assassin's throat near the end, possibly to trigger the bite reflex.
