The song that Benoit Blanc sings is "Losing My Mind", from the 1971 Stephen Sondheim musical "Follies". Rian Johnson wanted to include a Sondheim reference, because the composer was an "avowed mystery nut" and would throw murder mystery parties for his friends.

The murderer never holds an iPhone while most of the innocent characters do. Apple have a policy of not allowing bad guys to use their products.

Ransom was originally supposed to say F*ck You in this part. It was changed to Eat Sh*t right before shooting to keep a PG-13 rating.

The Trombey family claims that Harlan's Latina nurse, Marta, is a big part of the family. But they never can remember where she's from. They say "Ecuador", "Paraguay", "Uruguay" and "Brazil". Showing their capacity to lie and make themselves look better than they actually are.

The culpability of the person ultimately responsible for Harlan's death, is foreshadowed by a prominent shot of a knife at Harlan's throat the first time he begins to speak of the person.

Harlan talking about Ransom while Marta is injecting the "morphine" that fatal night in Knives Out (2019). This type of detail is just blowing my mind.

Detective Blanc said that he knew Marta was related to Harlan's death from the first time he met her due to the blood stain on her shoe. In the scene where they first met, he can be seen examining her shoe for a few moments.

Ana de Armas casts as Marta Cabrera who is really the heart of the movie, allowing Johnson to imbue "Knives Out" with some wonderful political commentary.

During the will reading scene, Linda Drysdale (Jamie Lee Curtis) tells Detective Elliot played by Keith Stanfield to "get out". This is a reference to the 2017 movie "Get Out" in which Stanfield played Andre Hayworth, a chracter who warns the protagonist to ,,get out".
