Hidden Details


Daito removes Sorrento's visor for him in order for the "real world" deception ploy to work. If Sorrento had tried to take his own visor off, he would have actually removed it in the real world as we see him doing once he realizes it is a trick.
During Halliday's announcement of the Easter Egg, we see the quarters on his eyes are from 1972, when both the first home game console (Magnavox Odyssey) and the first arcade video game (Pong) launched

You can see Halliday designing a certain important room on his computer in the flashback scene where he and Sorrento are discussing payment tiers

I am pretty sure that you've watched Ready Player One, maybe in a theater near you or on the small screen, but probably not many of the small details have taken your attention.
