Some ill-fated camp counselors leave a sing-along to spend time alone together. Just as they leave, the rest of the group starts to sing The Ballad of Tom Dooley. The doomed pair leave the cabin just before hearing the prophetic lyrics, "Poor boy, you're bound to die!"
This scene depicts counselors finding a snake in their cabin. It is based on Tom Savini experiencing the same event. The scene is mostly improvised footage with a live snake, including its on screen death.
