Thunderball Movie Trivia
Sean Connery insisted on a plexiglass corridor in the shark pool. However, the set designer didn't have enough plexiglass to cover the whole pool and a shark got through. Connery was almost bitten. He fled from the pool.

A real jet pack was used in the pre title sequence. It was called the Bell Rocket Belt and had been developed for the US army in early 1960s. They grew dissatisfied with the device (The maximum flight time was 21 seconds, with a range of only 120 m.) and cancelled it.
